First:

• This service is dedicated only to the equivalency of university academic education certificates (post-General Education Diploma - formerly high school) and does not include the equivalency of professional certificates and training courses.
• An equivalency request for each academic qualification issued outside the Sultanate of Oman is submitted electronically on the website of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation.
• Advanced degree equivalency is only considered after the equivalency of preceding academic degrees, if those were also issued outside the Sultanate of Oman.
• The service applicant must attach a copy of the high school equivalency from the Ministry of Education in the following cases:
• High school certificate from international schools (whether inside or outside the Sultanate of Oman).
• All high school certificates issued outside the Sultanate of Oman, except for certificates issued from (the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Iraq, the Tunisian Republic, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan).

Second:

• The authentication process takes place through two channels, which are:
• Path through the ministry (may take some time): This path is available to all Omani and non-Omani students who obtained their qualifications only from the following countries: (The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the State of Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates).
• Path through Data Flow Company (fast track) for a fee (approximately 33 Riyals)
• An elective track for all Omani students.
• Mandatory course for non-Omani students, except for non-Omani students from the countries mentioned above. Please note that the company may request additional fees according to the educational institution's requirements.
• Note: The company's path is not available to Omani students sponsored by this ministry.

Third:

• The service applicant must fill out a proof of residence form and attach the entry and exit stamps for the country of study, except in the following cases:
• If the study started before the year 2015.
• If the certificate is issued by the GCC countries.
• If the study system is (remote).
• The expatriate who studied in the country where he resides.
